What’s Inluded?

Logistics

Our team at NeverLost plans every part of your experience so that you can concentrate on making it the adventure you want instead of worrying about when lunch is. We plan the routes, the meals, the lodging and everything in between. We do not book your flight but we will provide transportation from the airport whenever possible.

Lodging

Our hand selected base camps are independent lodges or cabins that provide privacy and comfort while still offering the opportunity to interact as a group for meals and other occasions. We provide rates for both single and double occupancy options.

Nutrition

NeverLost provides nutrition for the duration of all events and we promise to deliver some top notch pre, during, and post ride food. As cyclists ourselves we recognize the deep connection between riding and food. We’re happy to accommodate dietary restrictions, and that is part of our intake survey for attendees. We will also provide riding snacks, coffee and drinks!

Support

We’ve got your covered! Cycling is a very physical and demanding activity. It can also be mentally taxing at times. We understand that and our goal at NeverLost is to support you every step of the way. Often times that is through encouragement and leadership but other times you may just feel the need to stop and that’s okay too. All our rides have full SAG (support and gear) support at all times. This means there will be a vehicle following the ride or on standby nearby to assist in any circumstance including picking up a rider that no longer wishes to continue.

Pictures

One of NeverLost’s most important offerings is that we provide a professional photographer on ever tour! Their job is to capture all of the special moments for you from a professional’s experience so that you can put your phone away and fully surrender to the freedom of riding and having a blast. Here’s a sample of images from our first tour in the Blue Ridge Mountains photographed by Andrew Hetherington.

Bikes

NeverLost does offer the option of a bike rental through our good friends at Earl’s Bike Shop however, due to supply pressures in the bike industry because of the pandemic our bike fleet is limited. If you are interested in a bike rental please contact us ahead of time to see what is available for your tour dates. We encourage you to bring your own bike and we will personally make sure you are all back together and in one piece before we begin our journey. Our mechanics are always on hand to keep your bike running smooth during your tour. More on that below 👇.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fit do I need to be to participate?

Most NeverLost routes are somewhere between 50-70 miles and generally follow the 100 feet per mile rule. Terrain can be anything from freshly paved country roads to chunky gravel. NeverLost events are designed to be an adventure, not a race. You’ll have plenty of support along the way, so if you’re comfortable doing 2 back to back days of 50-70 miles you should be good to go.

What kind of bike should I bring?

We recommend bringing something “all-road” that can tackle changing surfaces without issue. Generally anything with a 35c tire or larger is best. We recommend tubeless setups for peace of mind over the gravel sections. Our routes are engineered to maximize fun so expect anything from paved switchback climbs to epic gravel descents.

What is lodging like?

Lodging varies by tour location. Riders will always have a private room, and sometimes a cabin to themselves. NeverLost will handle all the details of lodging prior to the event. We recognize the importance of good rest and ensure that all accommodations meet our high standards.

What’s the food like?

NeverLost provides nutrition for the duration of all events. We promise to deliver some top notch pre, during, and post ride food. As cyclists ourselves we recognize the deep connection between riding and food. We’re happy to accommodate dietary restrictions, and that is part of our intake survey for attendees.

What kind of roads are we riding?

We’re here to adventure together and we ride it all! Most routes include anything from freshly paved tarmac to chunky gravel roads.

Your tours are sold out. Can I get on a waiting list?

Of course! Email info@neverlost.cc and we’ll put you in line. Waiting lists are first come first serve.

Can I get a ride from the airport?

If you need additional travel or lodging arrangements, please email info@neverlost.cc . We’re happy to see what we can do to accommodate you.

Are there mechanics on hand?

There will be mechanics on hand - however, we highly recommend having a full check up and tune up performed before the event. Some issues can be easily addressed by our roadside team (like a flat) while others cannot.

What if I need to tap out mid-ride?

All of NeverLost’s events are fully supported with chase vehicles. If you ever want to skip a section or just end the day early, the van will never be too far away.

Can I ride an e-bike?

Sure! We don't discriminate. While we highly recommend enjoying the route under your own pedal power, we realize that e-bikes can be a great equalizer and allow groups of different abilities to enjoy time together.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, NeverLost can create a custom tailored payment plan for you if you’d like to pay the balance of your tour in smaller pieces. Just let us know!

What if I have to cancel my trip?

NeverLost strives to make your trip planning as flexible as possible. We strongly recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance that covers the full cost of your trip should an unforeseen circumstance occur that would prevent you from being able to keep your booking. Should you need to cancel, your options are based on how far in advance your cancellation request is received. We will be as accommodating as possible within the terms of our official cancellation policy. Feel free to contact info@neverlost.cc if more detail or clarity is needed.

For trips initially purchased after July 31, 2020:

Travel Credits are non-refundable, non-transferrable and expire 1 year after the initial travel date. Credits may be applied only once and will not be re-issued if the rebooked travel is cancelled.

NeverLost will collect balances 60 days out from the trip start date.
